    Gong Hire Terms

    The following terms apply to all Gongscape gong hire. This page is provided as a summary of the hire requirements and is not legal advice or a complete contract. The signed hire agreement forms the full terms of hire.

    Hirer eligibility

    • Hirer must be 18 or over.
    • Government-issued photo ID is required.
    • A signed hire agreement must be completed before collection or delivery.

    Payment

    • The hire fee and refundable security bond must be paid before equipment is released.
    • A security bond from $750 applies. The bond is refunded after the equipment has been inspected, subject to the hire agreement.
    • The bond does not limit liability for loss or damage exceeding the bond amount.

    Transport and care

    • The gong must be transported in the supplied gong bag.
    • The stand must be transported in the supplied stand bag.
    • Equipment must be kept dry and protected from rain and moisture at all times.
    • The hirer is responsible for safe assembly, use and storage of the equipment.

    Use of the gong

    • Only appropriate gong mallets may be used.
    • No metal objects, sticks or unsuitable beaters may be used on the gong.
    • No stickers, adhesives, polishing products or modifications are permitted.

    Return

    • Equipment must be returned by the agreed date and time.
    • Late-return charges may apply.
    • Damage, loss or missing equipment may be charged at repair or replacement cost.
    • Equipment condition may be photographed at handover and return.
    • Commercial use should be declared during booking.
